The use of wood as a construction material requires certain conditions depending on the use or part of the work for which it is intended: some of these conditions are "sumptuary" and naturally refer to exterior appearance, grain, color , Fineness of the surface, ability to take dyes and varnishes, etc., which not only determine which species are suitable (fine woods) but also the direction of the saw cuts in the slice (meshed oak) conservation of Contiguous cutting faces (obtaining symmetrical veins) and other artistic resources of the cabinetmaking.
