The design, building, calibration and application of an acquisition board of low cost in building and programming for eight temperature levels, is documented in this work. Once having hardware devices: AVR ATMEGA48PA, MAX232, AD595CQ & HCF4051BE, interconnected; the C-language Firmware interrelates them to show temperature measurements on a PC screen using the HyperTerminal program. A multiple temperature register, able to measure from 150°C up to 720°C with an uncertainty of ?4°C, was obtained; nevertheless it has the capacity to measure up to 1300°C.Key Words: temperature, thermocouple, calibration, uncertainty, micro-controller.
