ABSTRACTThe establishment of a measurement index to define the sustainability in a building is a complex problem due to the several elements that take part on it, as well as different measurement indicators to include: environmental, economic, social…This article focused on the study of a index, that contributes to the sustainability of a building’s concrete structure, as proposed in the recent EHE-08. It establishes a methodology for measuring Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI), through the valuation and consideration of a set of indicators and it has an assessment tool to perform an example.KEYWORDS: sustainability, ESI, SCEI, structural system, EHE-08.
