In this work some lightweight and ecological mortars have been developed, by the replacement of sand for polyamide powder residue from industrial resources. Substitutions have been made with percentages from 25% to 100% of sand aggregate by polymer waste. The results obtained shown that the micro and macroporosity of the samples increases with the amount of lightweight waste, affecting physical properties such as bulk density, water absorption and vapour water permeability. Mechanical results allow us to consider these lightweight materials as masonry mortar. Keywords: Polymer, waste, masonry mortar, microstructure
