Traditional territorial and town planning processes have led the world population towards un-sustainability. Industrial activity is one of the basic pillars of resource exhaustion and environmental deterioration due to the production of goods. The growing importance today of establishing policies orientated towards minimizing the deterioration of our environment for any kind of action we aim to carry out, brings home the need to carry out sustainability studies which accompany these new developments. Development of new economic activities generally leads to the materialization of buildings, which occasionally may mean important deterioration in the environment where set, if the necessary measures are not taken. This article establishes the analysis bases for sustainability optimization of industrial buildings. Key words: Urban planning, sustainability, economy, industrial spaces, environment.
