ABSTRACTThis paper presents the results obtained concerning to the skills required for Engineering Drawing in a sample of Basque Country companies, as well as its relationship with the skills and knowledge obtained in the Engineering studies, in order to propose some suggestions for their improvement as a response to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).Final results have been obtained as “differentials” between the professional competence, “demands”, and the reference “acquired” by the students of Engineering Drawing. The study has enabled us to make a proposal for improvement actions to be carried. These improvement actions are in the frame of the EHEA and focus in the change of the educational paradigm in the learning process, its integration into the social-economic environment and its orientation towards innovation and creativity.
