ABSTRACTOccupational risks prevention is very profitable for an employer, since it spares occupational accidents and also offers very suitable conditions for the production. To have a clear vision of this benefit it is necessary to do a cost-benefit analysis of the prevention system. Therefore it is very important knowing how to calculate the cost that an occupational accident supposes to an employer.Key words: Safety and health, accidents, cost.
