ABSTRACT: The aim of this work is to empirically establish the environmental orientation of the ceramic industry determinants. In this paper, data retrieved from the PITEC (Spanish Innovation Panel) from 34 firms are modelled using the structural equation technique (EQS). Results show that process innovation is an important factor influencing firms´ eco-innovative orientation. Moreover, we found out a positive relationship between eco- innovation activity and marked information sources. Finally, we verify that the orientation towards innovative products has no, significantlinfluence, on companies' environmental orientation when innovating, which has important managerial implication.
