ABSTRACTBusinesses and society demand people with "something more" than academic training. But when we look at the reality of our businesses and universities we realize that only few efforts are put into getting people to acquire or improve those aspects of their personality related to leadership. The article highlights the importance of promoting a change in the way of preparing people in the engineering schools and in businesses. Key words: Leader, leadership, training, skills, people.
