The main purpose of this work is the application of a new design methodology for sustainable products. Among the existing options, street furniture has been chosen to validate the methodology developed in this work. For this, a practical manual will be developed to detail and structure the necessary steps for Sustainable Urban Furniture design under the Holonic paradigm and its corresponding application to a case of park and garden lighting. This work aims to be a useful tool for product design engineers who wish to make sustainable innovative products. This lighting system must allow a correct aesthetic and visual framework with the area where it is to be installed. In this case, the place selected to integrate the lighting device will be a park. As a final result we will obtain the design of a streetlamp, combined with the most modern technologies and manufactured with the minimum costs and the greatest simplicity. At the same time, it must have an attractive design and comply with all its functional requirements, as well as compliance with the standards and regulations applied to this type of facilities.
