ABSTRACT Although continuous improvement is a well-developed concept in the business world, its utilization is limited and has yet to reach its full potential. This study aims to analyze the different forms of improvement implementation carried out within 30 companies from Gipuzkoa and Navarra. This article not only identifies common improvement experiences of different companies, but also presents some original approaches used by a selection of those companies. Finally, a number of elements that need to be developed to improve the introduction of a continuous improvement program are introduced.
