In Spain the effect of COVID-19 has gone from being anecdotal in January 2020, to being one of the countries in Europe with the highest number of cases, which has affected the health system and indirectly, due to mobility restrictions, air pollution and energy consumption in the country. This article shows a perspective of the indirect effect produced by this pandemic on energy consumption and air pollution in reference to different moments that have occurred in Spain, first, when citizens were not yet aware of the impact of COVID-19 (mid January 2020), second after the first alerts given by the Spanish government (late February 2020) , third after the state of alarm and restriction of citizens' movements by the government (March 2020), together with the phases of de-scalding at a later date until the end of June 2020.Key Words: Air pollution; COVID-19; Cities; Energy
