In the present work we provide a new application that combines AR and SCADA presenting, on the one hand, an authoring tool that allows creating generic virtual panels and, on the other hand, a mobile application to control and visualize in situ the state of the machinery using AR technology. The application has been tested in a real environment, specifically in a wastewater treatment plant. The cyclical and multidisciplinary design process of which the final user has been a part, has led to the preparation of an application that is still used in on-site inspection processes of the aforementioned plant. The spatial relationship between the machinery and the virtual panels provided by the AR simplifies the inspection processes. Keywords: Augmented Reality, SCADA, machinery, supervision, industrial processes
