At the end of the last decade and at the beginning of the present one, there have been innumerable studies, analyses, prospective studies, surveys, etc., about what the passage of the future ten years until 2030 may mean for the world, in terms of different technological, economic or social aspects. We do not intend here to join so much visionary, because, in these aspects, unlike the arts, reality always remains behind fiction: we only intend to show from this platform what we would wish for engineering and industry in that horizon, deduced from the impulses that our profession knew how to take in past times, when it had to deal with problems as acute or more so than those experienced today.
