LA IMPLANTACIÓN DE LA TECNOLOGÍA DE COQUIZACIÓN RETARDADA EN UNA REFINERÍA DE PETRÓLEO

RESUMEN
La complejidad de un gran proyecto industrial requiere la gestión de numerosos retos. En este artículo se hace una descripción de un proyecto de adecuación de una refinería a las necesidades del mercado mediante la incorporación del proceso de coquización retardada. En su desarrollo se han incorporado las mejores soluciones técnicas disponibles, buscando un proyecto que permita mejorar la calidad de los productos con la máxima eficiencia energética, seguridad y respeto al medio ambiente. En este caso, a las dificultades propias para el diseño e implantación del Proyecto, se une su necesario encaje con todo el resto de instalaciones existentes en la refinería que exige la modificación de varias de ellas. También han debido conjugarse el limitado espacio disponible con el máximo respeto al entorno tanto urbano como de ocio, representado por la existencia en las cercanías de una playa y otras áreas de alto valor ecológico. Se ha considerado prioritario alcanzar el máximo nivel de seguridad, para lo cual se han empleado herramientas que permiten tenerla en cuenta en todas las fases de diseño, con especial atención a la selección y formación del personal que operará la unidad. THE INTEGRATION OF THE DELAYED COKING TECHNOLOGY IN AN OIL REFINERY

ABSTRACT
The complexity of a major industrial project involves overcoming numerous challenges. A brief description of a project to adapt a refinery to the market using the delayed coking technology is given. The best technical solutions will be applied to guarantee efficiency, safety and minimal environmental impact. In this case, we must add to the own difficulties for the design and implantation of the Project, the rest of existing facilities in the refinery that demands the modification of several of them. Also we have had to conjugate the limited space available, with the maximum respect to the urban and leisure surroundings, represented by the existence in the neighbour hoods of a beach and other areas of high ecological value. It has been considered high-priority to reach the maximum level of security, for which has been used tools that allow having it in account in every phases of design, with special attention to the selection and formation of the personnel who will operate the unit.
